International Scouting Activities

The International Catholic Committee on Scouting (not the International Committee of the NCCS) - Americas Region (North and South America) covers Catholic Scouting committees in North and Scout America. The ICCS - Americas Region secretary is Roberto Linn.

NCCS ENDOWMENT FUND FOR INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE

At the NCCS meeting in Reno, Nevada the week of April 04, 2005, a resolution to establish the Endowment Fund for the Americas Region was presented to the Executive Board and approved as follows:

This is a great opportunity for the NCCS and ICCS working together to make a most important contribution to the Catholic Scouts in the Americas Region that will finally afford some Scouts the opportunity to become an integral part of international Scouting and receive exposure to different cultures, to meet new friends and to learn more about Scouting in the Catholic Church.
Finally, the International Committee of NCCS has been entrusted to organize, promote and sell this program to our NCCS members, our supporters, our associated diocesan committees and Scout units in order to raise $20,000 to supplement the $80,000 from the NCCS Fund to reach the total of $100,000 that is deemed essential to financing successfully the ICCS Catholic youth activities initiative. Your support is crucial. Please seriously consider making a contribution to this most important challenge. Any individual, unit, or DCCS may make a contribution to the new Endowment Fund to support Youth Activities in the Inter-Americas Region.
