Quality Diocese Award

Program Information

This award is to recognize those dioceses that promote and achieve a quality Catholic Scouting program. It is an opportunity for the NCCS to salute those dioceses who truly deliver exceptional programs to youth members at all levels of Boy Scouts of America programs. Quality programs for youth are what the NCCS continually seeks, and is committed to supporting this goal. It is out hope that each diocese will establish annual goals to accomplish key areas of quality program delivery. Then, when a diocese earns this award, it makes a statement that they have provided their youth members with the highest quality program experience possible.

 

• Complete the Application and have the Diocesan Representives sign it.

• Send the application to your Regional Chairman between December 1st and March 15th. If you are not sure who your Region Chair is then look at the Local Diocesan Contacts section of our website.
  
• Region Chair approves application, if complete, and forwards to the Vice-Chair of Regions for processing.
  
• A certificate and two free patches will be sent to Region Chair for his/her signature and forwarding to Arch/Diocesan Chair.



• A presentation should be made at an appropriate Catholic awards ceremony.



• After approval, order all additional patches using by contact the Vice-Chair of Regions

Ordering Additional Patches

THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN THE PROCESS THIS YEAR. Once your Region Chair informs you that your application is approved, you then can order additional Quality Diocese Patches. The NCCS Office will validate that your Diocese has been approved by reviewing the Quality Diocese Recipient list. If you choose to order extra patches please consider getting one for presentation to your Bishop.
